AI readiness is not measured by how quickly an organization can buy a platform. It is measured by whether the organization understands the decision rights, risk boundaries, data conditions, and operating model required after launch.

A good readiness review starts with the work people actually do, not the vendor catalog. The question is where intelligence can improve judgment, throughput, safety, or service without hiding accountability.

Before procurement, leaders should define human oversight, data ownership, governance cadence, success metrics, and the minimum viable use case that can be tested responsibly.
